Nestled in the heart of the Town of Deatsville, our church is a passionate family of believers committed to glorifying God by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Building His disciples and serving the needs of our community. We are a family in every sense of the word and we hope you'll join us soon for worship, prayer and fellowship!
Our Mission
Serve God...Serve People...Build Disciples
The Church Family
We believe the God-breathed words of the Apostle Paul in Hebrews Chapter 10, Verses 24-25 describe our church family:
"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near..."
The Church is the people, not the building. We share in each other's joys, support each other in times of sorrow and we rejoice in worshipping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together!
Service
As we serve God and serve people, we use the Word of God as our guide. Galatians 5: 13-14 sums it up:
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Jesus said that all of the law and the prophets could be summed up in these two rules: (1) Love God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and (2) Love your neighbor as yourself. That's our goal at Deatsville Baptist Church.
Through Bible study, prayer, worship, fellowship, giving, and service, we strive to honor God, to know Him, and to make Him known in our community and around the world. Come and help us do that!
Contact us or, better yet, come and join us for worship on Sunday or for dinner on Wednesday!

We have dedicated, loving adults who lead our children and youth in Bible study, fellowship, and ministry projects. We take our kids to camp every summer at C.O.W.S., a local area camp run by our good friends. We also help them participate in ministry projects from time to time.
We gather on

We gather every Wednesday evening at 6:30 for fellowship, prayer meetings, and bible study.
Our adult choir meets for rehearsal every Sunday at 5:00 pm. We love to learn new songs and help to lead our Sunday morning crowd to worship our great God! (Temporarily suspended due to the pandemic)
We provide an opportunity for any of our members to gather together every
Sunday evening at 6:00 and discuss problems and feelings going on in their lives, and how to navigate them with the power of Christ.
This is an in-depth explanation of our church's beliefs. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us!
We consider the Bible to be the infallible, divinely-inspired Word of God as recorded in the original manuscripts, and hold it as the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and behavior.
We hold that there is only one true and living God, who eternally exists in three distinct persons, all of whom are equal in every aspect of divinity. These three persons work together harmoniously in the acts of creation, governance, and salvation.
We believe in God the Father, an eternal and personal spirit, who is perfectly holy, wise, powerful and loving. He takes an active interest in the lives of humanity, responds to prayer, and grants salvation from sin and death to those who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. We accept His virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous works, and teachings. We believe in the substitutionary nature of His death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to heaven, His ongoing intercession for His followers, and His future return to earth.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers those who believe in Jesus Christ. He permanently indwells every believer in Christ, acting as an ever-present helper, teacher, and guide.
We believe that God created man in His own image, but that through sin, humanity incurred physical death, spiritual separation from God, and eternal death. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature and choose to sin, placing them under condemnation. We believe that those who repent, turn away from sin, and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, becoming new creations, delivered from condemnation and granted eternal life.
We believe in the universal Church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated individuals are members. We also believe in the local Church, which is made up of a group of believers in Jesus Christ who have professed their faith and been baptized, coming together for worship, service, and fellowship.
We believe that a Christian should live in such a way as to bring glory to God and to benefit others. They should strive to maintain a blameless reputation, be a responsible steward of their possessions, and work towards achieving spiritual maturity in Christ for themselves and others.
We believe that a Christian should lead a life that brings honor to God and helps others. They should aim to have a reputation that is above reproach, manage their resources well, and actively strive to grow in their faith and understanding of Christ for themselves and those around them.
We believe that each person has a personal relationship with God and is accountable to Him in matters of faith. We believe that each church should be autonomous and free from interference by any religious or political authority. We also believe that the Church and the State should be kept separate, as they have distinct roles to play and should operate independently without interference or influence from one another.
We believe that local churches can most effectively advance the mission of Jesus Christ by working together within a denominational organization. These organizations, whether they are regional or district conferences, exist and operate by the will of the Church. Participation in these conferences is voluntary and can be ended at any time.
We believe in the physical, observable return of Jesus Christ to the earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We also believe in the resurrection of the physical body, the final judgement, the eternal happiness of the righteous, and the eternal punishment of the wicked.
